14Watt DC/DC Converter using Integrated Inductive Components
In compact step down converters, bobbin cores are often used as output inductor. This 20 page application note describes how a reference circuit has been modified in order to substitute a bobbin core by a fully gapped IIC. The result is a more compact circuit with the same performance. Design methods are explained in full detail, a complete component list is provided.
